Thursday, July 23rd 4pm-8pm

Owner and Resident Jewelry Artist, Angela Lensch, will debut her 2015 India Collection of hand woven Sterling and Gold Jewelry, on Thursday, July 23rd from 4-8pm. Join us & sample authentic Indian cuisine which will be served from Kinara Urban Eatery, Sturgeon Bay.

The 2015 IndiaCollection weaves the beautiful ‘Sari Wrapped’ wooden spheres’ which arrive from India as part of the Fair Trade Beads that Ms. Lensch helped develop in Jaipur, India. Incorporating them into her exquisite gold and silver woven jewelry makes each piece a unique collaboration of the two countries.

“It is so empowering to use my jewelry as a catalyst for change, to utilize my skills at home in Wisconsin while also helping to support women in need on the other side of the world. There were many ‘links in the chain’ that connected to make this project happen. It is so heartwarming to see new links appear and the project continuing to blossom.”

In 2012, Lensch received a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board and the Peninsula Art Association to help support her project in India. In India, she worked with a women’s empowerment group, teaching them the art of using sari fabric to make unique fair trade beads. This is the 3rd Collection that Lensch has created that feature the Sari Wrapped Beads since their inception in 2012. The first collection to be debuted in the Angela Lensch Gallery, located at the south end of Egg Harbor, 7653 Hwy 42.

Savor a taste of India, learn more about Angela’s journey, and view the stunning India Collection. Read more about Angela’s project by clicking on the “Project India” tab to the right.

PinPoint Art Rocks

Door County artist Ade Webber’s PinPoint Art Rocks are now on display at Angela Lensch Gallery featuring a grand selection of his hand painted Door County smooth stones. Stop by and see these amazing hand held treasures of color, texture and design. Webber was born and raised in England and has recently retired after 33 years of teaching at Sevastopol High School in Door County. He is an autodidactic of pin point art and is taking this opportunity to return his energy and dedication to using his skills in these exquisitely detailed Stones. “Each painted stone is beyond unique and a meditation that can be held in your hand. Ade’s mandala stones are breath taking. There is something to the weight of the stone in your hand and the intricate pin point art that surrounds them that give a profound feeling of joy and calmness,” states gallery owner Angela Lensch.
