Thank you to Susan Axelrod for connecting me to such a great organization: Combat Blindness International I was so grateful to support them by donating a necklace from my India Collection to their silent auction last Thursday in Madison. The event was eye opening and inspirational! The guest speaker, Mike May, was amazing! I left the night with Mike’s encouraging words “There is always a way!” I look forward to participating with CBI in the future!
HERE IS THE INFO ABOUT THE DAY:

We are looking forward to WSD 2013 on October 10, 2013. Please join us for sensational international cuisine (ask last year’s guests), silent auction of beautiful items < I donated a necklace and earring set from the India Collection – I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful program! >, fellowship, and an inspiring message from our keynote speaker, Mike May. Mike was blinded at age three from a chemical explosion. In 2000, he regained partial vision after a procedure using stem cells. He holds the record for downhill skiing by a person who was blind (65-mph!) and he holds three bronze medals from the 1984 Winter Paralympics. Come share with us in a delightful evening to benefit CBI and those we serve.
